alright, every time i come to look at my turtle, there seems to be more and more bits of gravel on the bottom of his pen. no, i have no idea how they are getting there, since none of them are any colour of gravel i have in any of my tanks? is this normal, could they have come from previous tanks he was in, and he was carying them around some how?? any ideas from any one.

do you have kids lol?

hahaha, well, my 20 year old sister would be the only person i know who would actually do something like that, BUT she is not only pertrified of the turtle, she is afraid to touch my aquarium water for fear of getting PARASITES (i realize that my family is weird, they think that touching the glass of the aquarium is going to get them a desease)

Damn, I knew that turtle looked familiar.....You have a twenty year old sister? ; )

As dirty as turtles are I wouldn't think thay came from it's stool...Probably stuck in it's shell somewhere. If it has enough water to free swim it should all fall out fast.

It's good your family is afraid of it...Less problems with other people feeding it.

Have you got it eating pellets yet?

yeah, shes eating pelets. only problem is, my family is afraid to touch it, but love FEEDING it. i wonder if they know that the food is probably more toxic to humans than turts. hmm, even if it isnt, im gonna tell them it is, lol. i think im gonna give it a few feeders on wed, since its my birthday, and there are gonna be people over, i wanna freak them out, lol, i could just imagine my grandparents reaction when she rips through the feeder, lol, ahh, better not, she had them once this month already.

belive me simon, you dont want any of her :screwy:, besides, she thinks im crazy with the fish and turt, image what shell think of you, lol.

My family doesn't like my fish tank. My sister thinks it's cruel to feed my puffers crustaceans. People are crazy and if my family thought fish tanks and reptile cages got you sick, I will have my entire house filled with them when I move out. I already plan on it, but they don't realize that my house is going to be a zoo too.

my mother is estatic about my aquarium, my faimly has always been one preoccupied with aquariums, and understandably it makes her happy to see her son suceeding with his first aquarium.
