After a stressful week with the crack, I was able to replace the 2x4 and move the tank to more level ground. Everything seems all good. Stand isn’t quite as perfectly even in height as it was (everything is within 1/16 of an inch [29 12/16 to 29 13/16 tall]), but is overall more level because of where it now sits.
