I'm clarifying the fact that floors are not designed to hold heavy weight on a constant basis. Most loading specs are noted in two different manners; static and dynamic loads. The goal here is to make sure all the information portrayed is accurate. Making comparisons without providing the factual data can lead people in the wrong direction. I'm not eluding to the fact that the engineer was incorrect, we just have to be careful what we say or it could be taken the wrong way.
