Another zombie apocalypse thread.

Put it this way. I dont truly see mankind facing any zombie threat. Its a bit too far fetched. But like I said earlier, maybe in the other thread it doesn't have to be indigenous, who knows whats out there. Likely? No. Possible? Maybe. My point about the bumblebee was this... The guy that said they shouldn't be able to fly was correct with the info he was using right? He based everything on fixed wings or something, rather than the way the wings actually work. At the time he didnt have all the correct information. Maybe there is something we dont know now that would make it all possible

I still thinks it's about as possible as humans growing wings at this point. Like I said, if there was a parasite of some sort that can do that, it won't be evolved enough in our lifetime or our children's great grand children's grand children's lifetime.

A small outbreak of some kind of virus/parasite I feel is possible, but only possible with bio-weapons. There's a much better chance of that happening then any natural or supernatural "apocalypse". Some mad scientist is probably working on it right now w/ all the zombie obsession in this country. If 20 people in every city got infected, people in the surrounding areas would flip out and think apocalypse and start killing each other (w/o being in real danger). I wouldn't think this if it wasn't for all this zombie-mania lately, everyone would try to be Rick from the walking dead. I'd go out on Lake Erie for a couple days till things were back to normal.

I do enjoy using the zombie targets for my bow and my .22 though lol. I used to want that to happen (zombie apocalypse) in high school when I hated life haha but that's a childish and sadistic thing I've been long over, I also was in a school full of snotty rich kids, driving brand new cars as their first ones, bragging about daddy's new bentley, so my feelings were understandable.

I think human technology will sooner create a zombie apocalypse than a parasite or virus or whatever

You are not taking into account the non indigenous aspect to this...

non indigenous to what? the planet?

in this planet, I don't think it's possible and I don't think anything is that evolved.

It'd be more believable to me if it was extra terrestrial. but nothing in this planet has that capability

Are you suggesting aliens? If so, how do you expect something that has had no contact with humans to automatically know all of the intricate bits of our brain needed to cause us to walk around, bite things, see things, and differentiate between infected and non infected people. All while keeping organs going so that we don't decompose in a week?

My point exactly. Bio engineering recently has been able to 3D print DNA. This means they can print whatever DNA combo they want, and actually implant it into the egg of a related host animal. Cambrian Genomics was the name of the place who did it first I believe. How easy would it be for some sadistic virologist in the theme of Dr, Death to print some crazy virus combo that would make people go mad in a short period.

A lil off topic but imagine the fish they can make! O-o

I think a Zombie outbreak is possible but I don't think it would last.

I may as well go early as I have crappy health and wouldn't last long.

There is absolutely and positively no way of anyone knowing or having the slightest inkling what is or could be out there and what capabilities may or may not be there... Such alien life could already be here, trapped for millenia beneath the polar ice caps or in the deepest depths of the sea. Of course aliens is probably a whole different thread lol.

I would definitely not be in ny or anywhere near a city of that size during a zombie pandemic. I'd go to some desert island or like northern canada.

I still think modern tech isn't advanced enough to make full blown zombies. If anything I think they'd make zombies that wouldn't be able to tell who's zombie and who's not and would end up like I said earlier, attacking other zombies.

but I still don't think it will happen in our lifetime

I can find it more believable if it was aliens. with all the "sightings" and gov cover ups and people missing, maybe they could've been abducting humans for hundreds of years and studying the way our brains work and finding the technology to do something like inject our brains with something that will control us to infect others.

I don't know,......... they can make a freakin movie outta that, lol. I should copyright that idea

It is possible for there to be aliens, but for them to automatically know ALL the intricacies of our brain, I feel is impossible. It is amazingly complex, and for something to magically know how to use electronic shocks to make it move and use all its internal organs when dead, Is impossible. If the human was alive, but deranged, that might work.
