both sites are 100% wrong, I have a 17 and 15in true Ansorgii myself and my vendor has a 26in one for sale atm and we all have seen pics of them larger then that

i saw pics of massive ansorgii, even coming close to a congicus. That site is definitly wrong

Th OP said his Ansorgii is 5".
This for sure is captive bred.

The only captive bred Ansorgii are the 100% F1 Ansorgii by Kamihata and the Ansorgii x Endlicheri coming from both Japan and Indonesia.
Being that Kamihata are not producing F1 Ansorgii anymore, and haven't for a while, we can rule out the OP's fish being from them. (it would be 10" by now)
The Kamihata F1 also come with a certificate.

Kamihata produce the Ansorgii x Endlicheri too, they do not come with certs.


To the OP, true Ansorgii in the wild can and do grow 30+ inches.
Your hybrid will not get anywhere near this.

Also, even WC Ansorgii are not likely to get to these massive sizes.
The huge ones you see often in places like big-in, Karin, etc are all caught at these sizes.
