Anthony's Tropical Fish..... BEWARE

I think I know what Neo is talking about. Basically there is a long thread at another board giving props to Anthony and how great his fishes are, etc.

I really don't think, and I hope not, that Anthony asked those guys to do such a blatant smooching to get him in good standing on that site. I would have to agree with everything they said though, except for the quick replacement of fishes in my particular case.

The ONLY thing that bothers me still is that some people still want to believe this was about me not getting my money. I got my money, so why am I not happy? Well, for those who still do not understand, I did not get what I paid for. I got nothing out of promises, excuses and my money held for a long time.
I would like to see anyone being offered an Albino Clown Loach or an Albino Datnoid or anything else that is a show piece for $1500. The catch is that the fish is still in Thailand and has to be imported. We fish-nuts will want the fish, not the money, right?
So you wait 1 year for the fish to come in and you walk away with your $1500 back. How would you feel?

That is my whole point. It is not the fact I feared I would never see my money because I know I would get my money no matter what if it came to that. I simply wanted my fishes.
Anthony is a good guy, honest guy, exceptional seller, can get all the rare stuff, etc. but that is not the point. The point is he took money with a promise and he delivered that money back without the promise.

Good guy posts? Check on the site I frequent a lot and you will see how many I posted about him. And I would still stand by each and every one of them. But it only takes one bad deal to a good customer and all goes to heck no matter if it is Anthony or any other seller.

i am glad you at least got your cash back but knowing your love for dats i understand it was the fish you wanted and did not get and thats what upset you.
they would have made a good addition to your dat collection its a shame.
you may just have to grow some of your monsters out and if anyone can do it i am sure you can.

Sounds like the case is closed. I am glad that Anthony showed an honorable gesture, and that Alfon76 (Ivan) is willing to forgive and forget. Let's put this thing behind us and move on to better things.

Just to set the record straight... Anthony did NOT ask me to post any kind of comment on that thread. In fact, I was there the day before Ivan initially posted this and purchased several pbass from him and posted pics up in the gallery before all this happened. I have purchased from many of the vendors here (David Webber, Wes, George, Jon Rare, and Anthony) and have had good experiences with ALL of them. I don't need to lie about it. I don't get money nor discount from him. He gets in fish that I've been looking for and I buy them. No nonsense...

The Trust system on the other board has 20 positive feedback (100%) for him. Do you think those numbers were manipulated?

Don,

When it comes to online purchasing, it got to have 100% positive to do good business. I am sure there were a lot more than 20 Anthony's buyers on that board. That explained.
Beside, like you said you get the advantage to see them in person and buy them on the spot. That way you don't get F#cked like others buying fishes from him online.

DonH, my post here was not meant as a direct "attack" or anything of the sort to you or your fellows. I have done good business with Aquafan and I hold Icthyophile in very high regards so I have no question as to why you guys posted. You are defending your supplier and that is cool. But, like it was said, you hand pick and most of the others do so too.

Even then, when I got fishes shipped NONE were a problem. Unlike so many others I never had a problem with the quality of the fishes that Anthony shipped me. That's why I said to go and check the many good guy posts I left him during the past 2 years.

This one transaction was really bad and this is only hearsay. If you guys really want I can post all the emails I have of my exchanges with Anthony over the last 2 months and you can see for yourselves why I had to come forward like this.

With all that said, I think the problem was solved to Anthony's satisfaction and to my so-so satisfaction (just got money not fishes). I really hope that Anthony rights the ship now and provides everyone with even better stuff because you will all be in heaven then.
