DonH, my post here was not meant as a direct "attack" or anything of the sort to you or your fellows. I have done good business with Aquafan and I hold Icthyophile in very high regards so I have no question as to why you guys posted. You are defending your supplier and that is cool. But, like it was said, you hand pick and most of the others do so too.

Even then, when I got fishes shipped NONE were a problem. Unlike so many others I never had a problem with the quality of the fishes that Anthony shipped me. That's why I said to go and check the many good guy posts I left him during the past 2 years.

This one transaction was really bad and this is only hearsay. If you guys really want I can post all the emails I have of my exchanges with Anthony over the last 2 months and you can see for yourselves why I had to come forward like this.

With all that said, I think the problem was solved to Anthony's satisfaction and to my so-so satisfaction (just got money not fishes). I really hope that Anthony rights the ship now and provides everyone with even better stuff because you will all be in heaven then.

I was just responding to your comment about Anthony possibly coaxing us to lie and leave good feedback in defense of him. Which is not true... Like you, I have been his customer for years and have spent a good deal of money with him. I have never denied that fact that I'm am fortunate enough to be able to hand pick the specimens I want. On the flip side, there are many satisfied customers that require their fish be shipped to them, like Arow and Icthy (Who also contributed to that thread).

I'm glad to hear that everything was finally resolved between you and Anthony.

i'm glad things worked out. if i remember correctly, you lost all your dats. if you really want, i'll sell you my 7" ngt for a good price, only for you if you want him. other wise he's going in his own tank. let me know. this isn't a for sale for anybody but ivan.

Hi suckerfish,
I got hit HARD by the "datnoid disease" and it killed 75% of my datnoid population I would have to guess. I lost all my NGT's, all my silvers and all my thin bars. I have been rebuilding since then thanks to Wes and other members like Vince that have sold me their Dats.
I found a way to eliminate the disease, or so it seems, so now my Dats are in good shape and out of harms way.

I can't ask of you to part ways with your NGT if he has a place in your collection but I do appreciate the offer in more ways than one. The other problem we might have even if you want to sell him to me is that we might not have someone to be able to ship him to me (I am assuming that you are in San Francisco).

Let me know either way because if you want to sell him and you can have someoen ship him safely to me then he is sold. If not, keep him healthy and grow him even more. Rest assured I will buy him no matter what size if and when you have to get rid of him.

Im glad you got this all sorted out. Good luck rebuilding your dat collection. I want to put my 2 cents in this thread but its all sorted out , your side was aired ( too bad Anthony didnt post his side here ).Bottom line is that the customer is (partially) satisfied.

Lets just leave it at that. As for a sellers reputation, word of mouth is still the most accurate in the hobby.. if you want to know whos reliable and whos not -so- reliable, just pm the senior members in the hobby and they will tell you.
