ohh lord get rid of symantec and download avg, that is the top 3 worst anti viruses you can run. it works like a virus symantec implants it self into all parts of your computer taking up a lot of space as a virus does, its pretty much a non violent virus but it slows your speed by a lot and is hefty
after it runs out... i have 151 days left :D:D:Di never thought it was that great... and it is a pain staking aggrivating issue to get 2008 out so you can install 2009... if it isn't all out your make havoc on pc... AVG is free also trial version ?

theres no trial theres an AVG Free version and a full AVG version, i had norton symantec before then got rid of it for avg free and i am much more satisfied with it. if your not that concerned about harddrive space or physical memory usage than your fine with symantec, i need all the space and as little memory used as possible thats why i went to avg, its only i think 100mb and uses almost no physical memory when its running

google " AVG free " download, and run a full virus scan, what you have is a dormant trojan virus that is tying to get you to allow it to download all sorts of viruses

I just downloaded AVG Free and ran a computer scan. It came up with some backdoor and trojan problems. It won't let me erase them without registering and buying another program to remove them. Is there a free spyware/virus program out there? Please let me know, The Doctor.

i am not concerned at the moment since my pc is new,but as the pics pile up and storage used then yes who needs it taken up from symantec..thanks for tip..

AVG removes without charging...You need to shut down your PC and reboot in safe mode...It is still the virus messing with you...

antivirus 2009 sounds like a virus.

AVG is a great free A/V program albeit very limited as tp what it can do however, if you don't mind paying for one NOD32 is the hands down best av I've ever used. I've been in computers in one way or another for 20+ years, so I've seen and used and deployed them all. I'll never go back to anything else!

That program that you're getting the pop ups for is a malware program (not a virus) a malicious program trying to trick you into opening a backdoor into your pc. Once that's done that program will be free to collect data and introduce any number of viruses and other malicious programs.

Use AVG or ANTIVIR both are free and do a great job.Symantec (Norton),Mcafee are good at taking up system resources and not finding viri

Also you should d/l and run AdAware (the green button) and/or Spybot Search and Destroy to help get rid of malware. They are great FREE products!

Even better - use Linux! very very few virus affect it.
