So I'm faced with a dilema(sp) I need an SWEET Foreground plant that can grow in 1-1.5wpg in my 180gal....If I were to get alot of anubias nana nana would that be effective enough to create a foreground plant of awesome?

there's lots of options. you adding co2/ferts? if not, anubias would be good, and would look sweet. but your gonna need A LOT of them ha

Bichirs plus anubias generally result in uprooted anubias. The root system of anubias is not strong enough for your type of fish.

you could try cryptocoryne plants for a foreground . . . they have decent root systems, and they will send out runners as they grow, so that their coverage gradually expands . . . and they do fine in low-light, low-tech set-ups

I saw the reference to bichirs, which I don't keep, but I do keep cichlids and bushynose plecos, both of which can be disruptive, but eventually the crypts will take hold

you can also try planting the crypts in pots . . . they will hold better, and still send out the runners . . .

Agree, crypto's seem a more logical option. Also, anubias should be on wood or stone, not in the soil.
