My 100 gallon currently has 2 senegal bichirs, 1 ornate (I know, it will outgrow the tank), and 2 Leopard Ctenopoma. I'd like just one or two more interesting African fish that would get along with this group. Also, I don't want a fish that will eat my plants.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I tried an African Butterfly, but his dangly fins were too great a temptation for the bichirs. I'm pretty much out of ideas.

Aren't there some glass cats from Africa? Does anyone know if the bichirs and ctenopoma would bother them?

Any other suggestions are, as always, greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you're going w/ a central/west African motif w/ the senegals and ctenopoma. Have you considered various mormyrid species, larger African tetras like Brycinus macrolepidotus, or African pike characin (Hepsetus odoe)?

Bathybates would be cool, if you can find them!

I like Jesse's suggestions, or maybe even a school of congo tetras.
