Maybe an African knife?
jeffthefish;517191; said:It was the senegal. I was able to get him out before they killed him, but now he's in a 3 gallon tank with no room to swim. :-( It's ok. That just means I get to buy a new tank.
Thanks for the suggestions. Mormyids and African Knife sound like the best option for me.
Vanimate, don't you think that the bichirs and ctenopoma would attack the congo tetras? They have long fins. I think that's what made the Butterfly so tempting.

I concur. D. sexfasciatus and D. lussoso are almost sadistic when they get larger. I once had a 6" D. sexfasciatus peck a 12" sengalus to death.vanimate;517323; said:Someone suggested distichodus, but I wouldnt recommend that, as they are quite nippy and are real bastards.
vanimate;517323; said:I would think that they would be fine, as I dont think a ctenopoma or bicher can catch them. I also have an african tank with bichers, ctenopoma and a ABF, with lots of anubias for cover.
