Any Archers here?

This may sound like a dumb question... but what are the advantages of a compound bow over a plain bow? I'm guessing ease of pull would be one.
Compound bows allows you to propel an arrow at a heavy tension while holding at a much lower tension. Example: the bow is set at 80 pounds, but when you to come to a full draw you may be holding only about 40pounds of tension. This allows for you to wait longer so the animal can get into an ideal position before releasing the string and arrow. Less weight = less fatigue = less shaking = more accuracy

Yes he does but he's friggin amazing and I can tell you this being someone that hunts with a compound bow... You can't shoot like that with it lol. I wish I could shoot multiple arrows super fast like him or even be able to run and shoot. If you watch the whole vid it explains how obsolete the way we shoot now is. God ..the deer would have no chance

Although the accuracy of his instinctive shooting is damn impressive, I'm actually way more impressed at how amazingly quick he can nock those arrows.

Cool Archery video

Video was already posted but I enjoyed watching it again.

Geez...if that guy loaded those arrows, he could be Hawkeye or Green Arrow

Well, I picked up a bow and arrow(s) the other day. The weather was cool today(unlike the 100+ it had been). So, I did my first practice.

I'm not Daryl or ready to take on Zombies but I don't think I did too bad considering I only did it once before about 35 years ago.

Not having too many problems horizontal... it's the vertical that I'm off on more. This is related to the amount of pull. So I have to work on it.

I was shooting 20 feet away on an 18W" x 30H" box. I was hitting the box about 85% of the time. I tried a few at 25-30 feet and was 50/50.

What, no pictures?

I'm guessing its a traditional bow and not a compound bow that you got. If so, is it a stick bow or recurve bow?

20150820_122124.jpg I knew someone was going to get me for no pictures. My phone is on the charger but I was able to do one.

But how do you upload a pic? This is my first attempt on the new forum.

Edit: I figured it out. It was a cheap bow
