I just took the class for mine and am getting the permit next week after my 21st birthday. I have a down payment on a Sig Sauer P250 sub-compcact 9mm luger too that I am really excited about picking up. Does any one have one of these guns? What do you think? What do you guys usually carry? Still pretty new to all of this so any advice?

Nice! I am from FL, there is no way I could possibly conceal a desert eagle any time of the year here.

Walther PPS 9mm with winchester ranger hollow points. High noon in the waist band holster. I have a wife and kids. If I remained defenseless, one man with one weapon could have all power over us. I carry so that I have options. May America remain free enough for the law abiding citizens to maintain his own safety and liberty if necessary.

Quite a true statement. I'm hoping they finally change the CCW permitting in Maryland. You never know what is going to happen if you have your CCW, but you know what is going to happen if you don't have it.

While it'd be hard to conceal it, I love the Judge pistols. Anything that can chamber a 410 shotgun shell, really. While you obviously cannot conceal a shotgun, I prefer them for home protection, with bird shot/buckshot. Particularly if you have other people in your home, pistol rounds go through walls and anything else beyond your target and can be difficult to be accurate with. Birdshot still gets the point across, requires less accuracy (not to say that you shouldn't practice, but you get the idea) and it rarely goes through walls. That's just my two cents, plus having the power of a shotgun in your hands is a ton of fun for recreational shooting.

Happy early birthday and kudos to you for exercising your Second Amendment Rights. Use wise judgement with your weapon and heres to hoping you never use it for anything besides target practice and recreational shooting.

Bird shot is for the birds. And they make a polymer judge that is kinda small.

I got the paper work for my ltcf(our carry permit) sitting on my counter, just neef to drive it to the court house. My carry gun will be my s&w 637 in 38spl, sitting in a custom pocket holster.

I have had my permit for the better part of the past ten years now but I rarely carry these days. When I do though I usually go with my H&K P7 which I got in a trade for my Desert Eagle .44Magnum.... I still have the holster for the Dessy in case you don't have and/or might happen to be interested in one.

i was denied for mine when i put my form in. they said i had outstanding warrants for my arrest and my prior past. ie burglary, numerous felonies. i didnt care anyway. i still do what i want.

LOL, and you were allowed in the military despite all of that?
