Any cichlids i could be looking out for?

I didnt know a lot about temps either... I thought most fish that were tank bred couldnt care less (with limits of course) but ive been reading a lot of threads about how eartheaters and other fish need cool periods or cool water in general. Interesting...

Anyways, off to my LFS in a day or two just to see if they have anything cool. I do it often because every once in a while they have something odd that i like. I know a lot of people like to keep fish for a long time but im ok with switching them out for something i like better... The whole reason i do this is for personal enjoyment after all. I doubt they will have anything posted on here but i like to check. Better chance at the auction if im able to go.

Thanks for all the cool fish suggestions.

Low 70s should work fine for beani, I just had a hard time with them when temps got into the 80s. I like to mimic seasonal changes whenever possible. At the higher temps they seem susceptible to bacterial and fungal infections, and because they can be very hard on each other as far as aggressiveness goes, there were always war wounds to contend with, prone to infection.

Try minnfish.com or http://www.aquarium.mn/.

I second Duanes that Bob Randall is a cool and chill guy.
Yeah ive used both those sites.

I might still go, but ive got a new fish. I will show pics when i get it home and it settles in, but for now i will leave it as a mystery. I will say that its usualu minimum is a 75 and its a big, mean male... But yeah. I probably wont buy any fish at the auction if i go but i might go for the experience of it.
