Any coldwater rays ?

I was wondering about Argentinian rays - Jeremy Wade was fishing some cold-looking rivers for rays in one episode of River Monsters.

In this video Jeremy Wade was fishing Potamotrygon brachyura ( short tailed river Stingray) but i don't know the temperature of the water

Thanks for the information!

I looked at water temperatures in the Parana River drainage, and found that it can drop to as low as 11C (52F) at times.

Also, fishbase lists its range as "temperate".

I also found this little snippet interesting:
"They also mentioned that by early autumn, when water temperatures started to fall, this was the only species of river ray still found."

So it looks like at least a couple rays, while certainly not true "coldwater" fish, certainly can tolerate lower-than-tropical temperatures, at least for part of the year.
