Talking about the ones that people have in thier tanks that came in couple months ago.

There has been a whole lot of real goldens brought in over the past few months, a few dozen near as I can tell.

Are you by any chance referring to the Argentinian S. brasiliensis that Wes brought in?

Really???

I was told 4 fish made it.....

Who brought them all in?

I'll get a video up tonight. I have mine in a tank right next to a normal Dorado. Not near as ideal as having them in the same tank to compare, but they seem very different to me. The Argy is one of if not the fastest growing fish I've ever raised.

The Argys (S. brasiliensis) and Brazilians (S. franciscanus) are different species, that is correct, but they are both correctly referred to as a golden dorado. I only know of four S. brasiliensis to be brought in, but that doesn't mean that only four golden dorados were brought in.

Both species turn completely yellow once they get to about 3'. Both species achieve huge sizes. In fact, the WR Brazilian golden dorado is 20 pounds heavier than the largest Argentinian specimen, the WR frankie is over 85 pounds!
