Any Eel Options for a 20g?

It is my opinion that every tank should have a fish that lurks... this thread has me considering an eel for my next setup.

I don't really mind an inactive eel. What substrate do they need? Can they be kept with other fish?

They prefer sand or something similar so they can burrow. They can be kept with other fish. Are you talking about the Macrognathus circumcinctus?
