Any fish that eat fish waste?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Okay guys, so if I get a power head where would I put it? At the top or bottom of my tank? I notice there is always one corner where most of the poop stays. However if I put it at the bottom won't they blow my sand everywhere and blow my poor cories out of the way? I'm so confused! I've never used one before. Thanks guys for the help

depends where your filter intake(s) are and what your existing current is doing.
post what filter(s) you're using and a full tank picture showing the intake and outflow. but honestly, we all usually have to experiment with moving things around.
TBH, in one of my bigger tanks I change up my output spray/flow/direction depending on what's needed, sometimes during any given day. ya know? I'm home and I just reach up and rotate the outflow tube. to point down & clear away small dead spots, then afterwards point it back up where it usually is- agitating the surface alot.
However, my other tanks just run same way all the time.
It all depends.

They keep Tilapia in with the hippos at the Calgary Zoo to help break down the waste. I know that's gross but still

My filter is an aquaclear 50. It's all the way to the left. The filter on the right is not running because it broke. I have a 12 inch airstone placed in the center.
