another we have is, if you build a custom rod (wrap it yourself) and you dont catch anything on your first trip, its cursed, so you sacrifice it to the fish gods.

Same thing here the moment you go to take a leak a big one hits. lol Get caught with the wrong tool in your hands. Same goes for deer hunting.

I've found that if you catch one on the first cast, fishing slows down a hell of a lot before picking up again.

My habit? If you catch a fish and the bait is still there, unhook the fish and leave the bait on. If the bait is mangled, add the new bait to the old one.

No bananas on my Dads or my boat and if we are trolling for marlin I always have my fighting belt out laying on the back deck.

why does everyone go after people spelling? this isnt english class... its a forum. we dont take our time in typing... its a 30second job... just do it and people will figuer it out.
 
Sometimes when I'm out yellow perch fishing I have my black lab kiss the yellow perch I catch. Its funny because when I catch a drum or white perch he turns away like "I'm not kissing that thing"in disappointment. When I go creek fishing with him he will drag my steelhead up on the bank for me. I don't know if kissing fish gives you good luck, but look at jimmy houston, it must work for him he kisses evey bass he catches, I even saw him kiss an oscar once when he was fishing in flordia. It Couldn't hurt I mean look at him hes won so many tournaments!
