Elephant Trunk Snakes are horrid for surviving in captivity... better off with a Tentacled.
I dint know that  The very few people I know that have been able to get one dint have much trobble keeping them alive. But again all the stuff and factors: capture method, transport, health condicion of the animal, experience of the keeper, etc:WHOA: For tentacleds I ironicly dont know a single person that has been able to find one here, so I have absolutley no reference:confused:How much they sell for?

The only problem is... with the Elephant Trunk... they all have different method of keeping them alive. Zoos have tried copying the husbandry of the successful ones and failed. Why? If you look at the successful ones, the environment is COMPLETELY different in each one (pH level, salinity, temperature et cetera) and once those factors change, the snake end up dying. The sad thing is... with Elephant Trunk, it just a matter of luck getting a snake from the a region that match your water parameter.

Just wondering what other fully aquatic Freshwater snakes, lizards, and amphibians there are. I only know of the Tentacle snake. Since I have aquariums, maybe I can start one up for something other than fish.
Anyone?

Isn't the definition of amphibian "able to live in water and on land":grinno:

Some aquatic turtles (snappers and painteds) are pretty close to fully aquatic and awesome pets.
