a hap would be too big, but a mbuna would work. i would say to get a salvini or a jack dempsey and upgrade down the road and make sure to stay on top of your nitrates.

prob. wont have anything come at you through the glass like you would with a big tank and a trimac or a chancho just for the simple fact those fish are xl and think they can whip you if they can get to you. where a small fish doesnt think that for obvious reasons.

I'd say go with Cutteri's or HRP... esp. at that small of a tank. Or split it and do two fighter Bettas!
