Any good fish for popping?

Looking for fish that pop due to suction feeding...6 to 12 inches long?

Like arapaima... A loud pop caused by the suction feeding. Like peacock bass

Don't think there is much man, the smallest fish in the osteoglossiformes or whatever like arapaima are African butterfly fish. No pops from there

Best bets sre Pbass and they still get big

African butterflies are still awesome to watch when they eat, and have a very prehistoric air to them

try flowerhorn... i always hear popping sound when they suck the frogs into their mouth

I find that any semi skiddish cichlid i own make quite a pop when grabbing pelets due to them rushing to get back to the bottom of the water column.

My channelcat did it when he was willing to come to the top for food, but they grow much bigger than pbass. Bala sharks and big goldfish will do it too, but not as much. I think even three spot gouramis make a little pop. It depends on how carefully you are willing to listen to your fish eat.
