Any good pet/fish stores in Puerto Rico?

I may be relocating to there and was wondering if there's any MFK'ers who live there or if anyone knows of any stores to check out.

I was there on my honeymoon, went to a couple shops, they weren't the greatest. I was never able to find any good ones, really didn't spend too much time looking for them. Sorry.

We were everywhere, since we had a rental car and GPS. I think there was one at the Mall of America, or what ever they call it.

If you haven't been there, make sure you go to the old San Juan and check out the two forts and the rain forest. It should be pretty cool living there. Just watch out for the driving they are rough but there is no road rage. Also late at night you can go after you stop for a red light if it is safe, some locals told us this is to prevent car jackings, so lock your car doors.

I would likely be living on the western coast of the island and I have visited other areas but I'm guessing any really good lfs would be in that San Juan area to the east.I know a little about the crime in some areas as I have seen a group of men beat up a guy in broad daylight in a shopping area and no ons did a thing about it.I really would not need a store if I continue to keep salt tanks,I could simply go down to the shore, but I want certain freshwater fish that I really doubt can be found there in the native waters.

Here we have several stores with Freshwater and Saltwater. The best stores are in the San Juan Metro Area.

The Fish Store - excellent saltwater store with corals, fish and equipment. This is their site with their address and phone. 10 minute from the San Juan International Airport. Close to the Roberto Clemente Sport City.

Aquarium Xtra - here you will find an excellent variety of freshwater fish and plants. Some saltwater. The best for freshwater.

Wonders of the Sea - another saltwater store in Arecibo, north part of the island 60 minutes from San Juan. It is locaed in #2 highway in Arecibo. phone - 787 815-1316

Don't worry about crime in Puerto Rico, just keep your eyes open and don't leave your car open.

Just to let you know it is illegal to take live rock or fish from the sea in Puerto Rico.

I have heard that a lot of freshwater species are restricted in puerto rico. Is this true? Where can I find a list of restricted species?
