Any good tips on how to breed festae?

I am guessing these are much like any CA/SA, when it comes to breeding. But does any one have great success, and if so what did you do to condition them.

I know I am already asking for it, doing it in a 55,and understand that the parents will have to be monitored heavily,and even then it's a large risk, but thats what I have to work with, and am up for the challenge and will separate at the first sign of anything going sour. I have kept combos that shouldn't have worked ever long term with success, so this I view as another challenge.


As far as the current status, they have been living together for 3 weeks now, and have recently dug a pit.

With that said, and if you can get over that without having to flame me, any advice would be appreciated. Text book quoting proper size tanks does me nothing, as I have seen people prove the books wrong before.

Update on this: Introduced another 3 weeks ago, so theres 3 now, no problems, and pits dug, but nothing.

yeah. I am in the process of redoing that one though, as I'm going to move the coral and fish into the 24 pod I finally got around to setting up, and most likely make that a mantis tank.

Thanks, these pics are already way off, as I tried conditioning them and all that fun stuff, no results. So I feed them just a ton of hikari again the past few days, and they have done nothing but dig today, so now almost half the tank is clear, keeping my fingers crossed.

If you look closer, theres actually 3...in the 55!
Heavy watch constantly, but they don't seem to mind each other.
I think the two larger are going to be the ones that spawn if it happens, as at first I had the male with the small female and he followed her all day long, but after the next one's intro, it's like the little female isn't there anymore in his mind.
