I know most people decide to "move up" after breeding guppies, but I know that there are some people who still breed guppies for certain varities and stuff. Is there anybody like that here? Just curious.

Well, are you buying feeder guppies or fancy guppies? Feeders breed very slowly...fancy guppies breed much faster. A female will drop about a dozen babies a month.

Before my fancy gups wound up as food, they would drop 50+ a month. I also find that wild guppies drop fry faster but in a smaller amount.Nabbig2;1367464; said:Well, are you buying feeder guppies or fancy guppies? Only problem with raising them as feeders is that they take a while to grow to a decent size. Means you need a big tank to rear enough to feed many fish.
But yes if you get a good vigorous strain they breed faster then rabbits
