Any Hi Power fans?

Honestly, it belongs to my son. You may be right. I'll have to ask him when I see him. It uses standard .223 NATO ammo, so I assumed it was AR. I fired it about 30 times last Sunday, it was pretty fun.

girls always look better with guns..... until they point them at you

Just picked up this FEG PJK-9HP Hi Power clone today. It came with three mags (two-13rd and one 17rd) Hogue grips and a decent pistol hardshell case. The blueing is wonderful and the machining is pretty good. Well the bluing was perfect until I did a little DIY smithing to remove the mag catch safety. Pretty good for $275 if you ask me. Hard to believe that a few years ago They could be had brand new for $50 less!

So far the pros are:
Hi capacity (standard 13rds but there are some nice 17, 25 and 30 rd mags available)
Great blueing
Great price
Nice trigger after a bit of DIY smithing
Very comfortable in the hand
Points naturally

Cons:
Small military style sites
No audible "click" for when the safety is on or off

This is my first Hi power type pistol and so far it seems like more might be in my future! Any one else a fan of these wonderful weapons designed by the man himself, John Browning?

Very nice, Belguim made? I have a Browning 9mm Hi Power, Single Action heh I really gotta get some money together to mod mine weapons lol

It a great weapon, unfortunately I live in one of those states that thinks guns are "BAD" and this is one of the "REALLY BAD ONES" so it banned. I have a soft spot for SIG weapons. Oddly enough the UZI is perfectly legal with an MG permit but not the 550 :screwy:

HillBilly, my "expert opinion" tells me its a Sig 550 in 5.56NATO.

My Hi power is Hungarian made. Its a tue clone and interchangeable with any Browning or FN parts.

I was just looking at the same pistol a couple weeks ago at a gun show here in Houston...soon as I put it down the guy next to me bought it instantly. I wanted to buy some Bersa's...I carry Taurus Pt 145 compact...or Taurus 24/7 in 9mm. I love Taurus....How is that Hi Power working out for you? I might have to go get one.

I dont have a camera ATM, pics are from the ad I bought it from. Its nothing too special. Pull the slide stop like a 1911, slide comes off, pull out the guide rod and spring and barrel comes out.

danalito, what was the price on it? They recently stopped making this model and they are drying up fast. I wish I had discovered them when they were $200-225 new! That would have been a HELL of a bargain.

Sadly I still cant find ANY ammo so I havnt shot it yet.

Looked at so many guns that day all the prices became a blur...but I do remember it was a decent price cause the seller kept saying "you won't find many especially at this price"
