The 125 was just gonna be temp. They each were about to have there own "forever" tank..Im in the process of clearing out other tanks to make space. The dovii was gona be traded for some fry so I could have a better chance to get a pair in a 300..I just caint stand seeing all that tank with such a small fish inside.Never thought about cons.Might do some aquascaping and give them a shot. That would be cool if that worked out. Then the 125 is stocked and on to replinishing my stock.Guess this type of thing is to be expected. But your never ready for.

When they start out aggressive at that age and size, they usually stay that way, especially toward other large Cichlids. Mine was the dominant one at the store at just a few inches. At home he quickly gutted a school of tetras and then a female Midevil. Once he started attacking me, I pretty much gave up on housing anything else with him. You may have better luck keeping it with tankmates once you have the larger tank up and running. But there's no guarantee with this. You will find these cichlids housed alone most of the time because of their aggression. If you want a community of larger cichlids, there are more suitable cichlids to choose from that you may like better than a RD or Midas.

Get rid of the midevil , its not worth is :/ whyy waste a large tank on one fish ??? i learned this the hard way :( you have to be a real midas lover to keep this fish solo in such a large tank lol. i got rid of mines and got a community tank , so far no regretss :D

My 13 inch midevil gets along with my 7 inch male jag, 6 inch female dovii, 8 inch jack dempsey and pair of 5 inch convicts in my 230. He doesn't like my plecos much but neither do I lol.
