Not even close, green sunfish have a larger mouth,more football shaped body,little or no blue spots on body.
The mouth isnt being held open, and no they dont have a football shaped body. Better go back and check thi oic i posted.
Pic is wrong if you think green sunfish, mouth should appear large even if closed,there should be some barring, also green sunfish don't have a spangled pattern
