Any ideas as to what it may be? Disease etc

... on the meds i would also prefer melafix and piamafix ,there a lot less harsh and natural ingreadients
I agree. I try to stay away from using meds (harsh) especially on channa, as much as I could possible. If you do have to treat with med, try to pin point exactly what you think the problem really is... (parasitical, bacterial, etc.?) and then use low dosage at first. Watch and see how they react to it. If seems okay, then introduce more adding in small increments. Meds I've always had luck with... Melafix, Pimafix, Hex-a-mit. Be sure to keep us posted and good luck!

Thanks guys. I'd describe it as cotton wool type. Those were the best pics I could get unfortunately. Its not like those spots in the link Woodyoz. theres no change today but they are acting ok still feeding etc. The water level is a good 2inches from the lids

i would go with pimafix for this , i would suggest it is some sort of fungal infection , and possable caused by jumping , or fighting ect , they can get fungal infection in wounds fairly easy , pimafix has allways done the job for me treat as directed on bottle , for upto 7 days then do a 25% waterchange

cheers col
