I like my Firemouths a lot. It's funny watching them because they get excited to see me, but when I pull out the Hikari they start swimming ALL around the tank and they bite the glass begging for food.

I like the look of fire mouths but id def want some tank mates with him if i went that route.

Looking for at least 5-7 fish

I plan on adding even more than that to my 60 gal reef once I get it running, granted they will all be less than 4", with most being 2.5"-3". If you want tank mates I would go with another cichlid of course. My Firemouths aren't always the friendliest, but then again neither is the Angelfish who always challenges them. I would try a couple EBA or a BP. If you'd like they would go fine with Geo's, and that should keep your sand clean.

At least looking clean.

Uaru! You could get away with a group of juvies, and the hardscape matches their environment well.

Great looking tank,I like the natural eerie look to it.
It would make a very nice West African tank.
Brown knife fish, butterfly fish,a shoal of upside down synodontis,a group of rope fish and maybe a pair of West African cichlid like kribs or similar.
