It'll be worth trying to feed them with peas. Peas serve as laxatives and will ease excretion of wastes. I've never kept violet gobies however peas are often recommended for constipation cases.Red Devil;1175684; said:Do violet gobys eat peas?

A swollen stomach could mean many things. Constipation, overeating, bloat, internal parasite, tumor etc. Give us as much details about the fish as you can. What are your tank specs and any details regarding the fish's current behavior. Is it acting normal, does it's feces look normal, is it eating? How is the stomach shaped? Is it smooth and rounded or bumpy? Is is even on both sides? If you can get a picture that would help a lot.

If so watch and see if the fish produces any waste. Also check back on it later, perhaps in the morning. If it is from overeating I would think the mass would have gone down by then. If it's still there then my next best guess would be constipation. Trying a pea might work, that or a grain of epsom salt but I doubt the fish would take either. If your fish takes feeders perhaps you can put a shelled pea inside the dead fish and the goby would eat that dead fish, thus ingesting the pea.
