Any issues with live feeders?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like the tank . You have both of them in there? Once they get bigger though you can go a week even two without feeding them

Thanks, yeah both are unfortunately in the same tank. Hopefully soon I can finish my 110g tank and separate them. Just need an economic filter and light system since the wife said I couldn't spend much.

What size tank is that ?

Keep an eye on them though you don't want to end up with one. If you notice a lot of nips taken out of each other put up and egg crate to divide the two . You can get them at lowes for two bucks as a temp fix

It's a 55g, so far they haven't shown any aggression towards one another. There is still a convict in there that I've had for a year or so. His fins are MIA though. And they've left the pleco alone.

Just an update, I picked up cod filets and cut it up into strips, it was only a matter of seconds before they were taking pieces out of the strips I put in the tank.

Good for you man, also try tilapia and shrimp, theyll love it!

Likely your rhoms will try to kill eachother soon when they become territorial! Aquaclear 110 is cheap and would be a good economical way to filter ur other tank!

Id stay off feeders for life and soon your serrasalmus rhoms will be mighty brutes!

I currently have two 2" black rohms. Is there issues feeding them live feeders? I've had my rb's on frozen shrimp before but going on work trips became a problem and would need people to fish sit for me. It just seems live feeders would help out in that area. I'm completely open to input. Thanks
