incorrect, the SUMMATION goes to 1. it starts at .5 and gets larger as the fraction gets smaller, it approaches 1, not 0

as n increases, 2^n increases, meaning 1/2^n decreases. 1/4 1/8 1/16 1/32. It will go to 0.

you are correct that the fraction is being reduced, but it is still contributing to a sum, the formula for c5 is shown in the formula bar, c6 is the same formula but adds the cell above it, so on and so on...... the summation approaches 1

I'll be the first to admit that I'm horrible at math. I can do what is required by my job (budgets and whatnot), but that check struck me as amusing

good point, many people see that if i person isn't good at a thing like math that is used every day in many circumstances that you may be, i wouldn't say so, just comment that i know my stuff and that he should not look down to me, and say such a thing like the system failed to educate me.
