Any Michigan hobbyists want any flowerhorn fry?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ya, not what i wanted, the guy said around $600-$700 then i offered him $600 and he said no he was looking for $750. not worth the tank and a homeade stand, and some plumbing, i would still need heaters, sump, pump, lights, and to clean it really bad and to buff it, not worth what he is asking, since i needed over $300 worth of stuff for it, also when i got anpther offer for the same size tank for $700 with everything except heaters, plus i wouldn't have to buff it, but it would be a 3 hour drive with a uhaul, but still would be atleast $100 cheaper.

Honda,

Have you ever tried pricing out some glass from great lakes aquariums? brand new stuff for a great price.

Glass is going to be to heavy for my floors, because it will be atleast double the weight.

Your math is all wrong. 1 gallon of water weighs 10lbs so 230gallons would be 2300lbs. There is no way a empty glass 230gallon tank is going to weigh 2300 lbs. It will be easier to carry an acrylic tank but the weight difference is not going to affect your floors.

I don't about that, acrylic is a lot lighter then glass is, plus every pound helps with my old michigan basement. I will take a look but i really don't have very many people to help me move the tank in. I know that the water is my biggest problem, but if i compared my acrylic 55g which i carried with one hand, to my glass 55g which is a pain to carry by yourself and is a lot heavier. I know the glass tank won't be over 2300lbs but if i can save 100lbs by going acrylic, then that will be a lot easier so me and my girlfriend can carry it in, where glass, i am going to need 3 or 4 people.

Well like I said you will notice it when moving it but your floor isn't going to know the difference. I agree moving large tanks sucks but sometimes you have no choice. I just sold a 4'x2' tank yesterday with .5" glass and I had to carry it over my tractor in my shed lol. I was just suggesting glass because it's a lot cheaper and large cichlids/flowerhorns are going to scratch up the acrylic real bad.

ya, that does suck. It is going to be my south american geo tank, which will clear up my 90g.

nice head on the male, and i would have to say female because i have one that looks very similar with the red chest, and is growing slower.

PS i got you an extra red monkey.
