Any Michigan hobbyists want any flowerhorn fry?

Do you know why are the king kamfa's so much more expensive than the KML's? just the seller? its confusing to me

It's 2 different sellers. The KML are from mr.fh, the king kamfa are from mick kamfa.

I have just been shopping around for flowerhorn fry and asking the sellers if I can buy in bulk and seeing what kind of deal they will give me on the fry. Every fish I have sent from overseas to Julie costs me $2 per fish, packaging fee's, and shipping ($60+), so the prices are not bad at all. You're not going to find these strains of fry anywhere in Michigan for these kind of prices and if you do they will be nowhere near the quality of these ones.

and if you want to know why Mick kamfa's fry are more expensive this is what he told me.

"The fry you take from him i don't know the fish quality but i can't give you that price becoz king kamfa very low percentage i select the 200 fry from 1000 fry and 800fry i drop them all. I will keep only good quality for customer."

That means he culled 800 of them because they didn't meet his standards for a king kamfa from his breeding's and the 200 he kept to sell should be top quality king kamfa.

It comes down to what type of fish you want. Do you want a KML or a king kamfa? They're both flowerhorns just different strains.

good to know i didn't know a breeder would cull so much just for quality. both are really nice to me, pearling is just a little different.

okay like I said I think they will all be gone but when I talk to Julie I will make sure. For $20 I think I'm interested in one too so I'll check for sure. Next shipment is Sunday and after that she's sending me my whole order. I know she was supposed to be getting some stuff coming in from Vietnam so I might try to get in on that. I will post on here to let everyone know if there's any more fry we can buy.

alright thats cool, ya the rt are pretty sweet and when i talked with rainnybetta he said his fry are going to look like the female(red one). Hopefully she does, i would be able to pick it up till saturday or sunday. College and work.

Yeah rainnybetta has good stock thats why Julies goes through him. I usually work 4:30pm-midnight Saturdays and noon-11pm Sundays but as long as my girlfriends not working she's could let you in to get your fish. She's good at bagging fish and probably knows more about fish than half the people on this forum thanks to me lol.

I work 4:30-midnight on Fridays also lol. I will post some pics of the fish room soon but I condensed 410gallons down to 60 so I still have some fish shuffling around to do but the overstock actually worked for the time being. Still trying to decide which big tank to setup and where.. I taught my girlfriend most everything she knows about fish but she learns a lot from the fish auctions I take her to also.

I forgot to ask would a flowerhorn do ok in a 8" 240 with my 100g stocking and a few other larger aggressive central americans. i will be losing two oscars, the convicts are also gone.

in a 240 I'd say you should be fine but it's all in the personality of the fish. Every fish is different.
