Any of you guys know how to change OIL for BMW's?!?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think you do need a special tool to reset the oil light, other then that, drain the oil and filter should be a canister type filter accessed from the top of the engine

I change my own oil on my benz. I don't drain the oil at the bottom. I use a pump to pull out the oil... it does pull out 8 qtz, which is about what you get from draining from the bottom. the filter is on the top... very easy to do.

for my car, I dont' need any special tool to reset the maintenance interval. just follow the reset instructions in the manual by turning the key and pressing a button. I would think you car can't be that much more different from a benz. GL

ok u find the oil pan take out the plastic cover that covers if any unscrew nut from oil pan den u find oil filter unscrew it by hand let oil drip installl new filter nd oil reinstall - )

I've heard about the ridiculous cost of some basic maintenance for some of the German luxury cars but if you have a Jiffy Lube in your area they should be able to do the same work for less than what the dealer would charge.

Most the cost is in the materials. Mobil 1 Syntheic oil costs about 7 bucks per qtz. my car uses 8 qtz. just the oil + filter alone costs about 75 bucks.... It can be done for much cheaper, if you use the cheap oil, which is most of the midas pep boys shops, etc. use.

easiet way is to drop a lit flare into ur fuel tank. :D
