Any one Ever Made a Planted Salt Nano?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
on an 8 gallon pretty much any PC light is medium intensity..
the length of the bulb isn't as important as the wattage is.. a 9'' bulb im going to very vaugely guess is a 12 watt bulb.. 2 of these, one 10000K and one actinic would be a perfect combo for most LPS and soft corals..
just one bulb i would really limit to simply softs.. mushroom, xenia, zoos, etc..

.. shut up :D

yeah i hadn't seen that..
i had a 7 watt 10000K over a 1 gallon before as was able to keep a peice of millipora alive for a few months.. so i can imagine that a similar would allow at least LPS to do well..

hmm if it is condisdered low intensity.. then i porably wouldnt put any plants in there :( lol.. =D proably not then.. unless i had that lgiht fixture on a 2.5 gal id proably get away with it. but based on what you guys said... maybe it isnt enough aww =T_T= but itz ok.. im pretty sure it can still keep my coraline algea alive =^___^= if plants wonts grow.. i hope Mr. pinktip Anemonemene can grow if i place it high enough with decent flow.. and im sure mr. anemonemene will wander around and find a nice elevated place =D

Also besides from anemonemene, if plants were placed higher up on the rocks closer to the light, like if i waere to plants some in a bit of substrate which i placed on the rock or put or watever lol =D LEts jsut say the closer or higher it is to the light the better it is right =D? =^____^=

Hi all

Just joined up with this site after a fellow member read this thread. I currently have a planted nano. It is a deltec 24g with live rock and live sand. I grow macro algae. I have some pulsing xenia in their and a couple of feather duster worms. Fish are 2 clowns and a fire goby. I'll post a pic when I get chance.

I think if you go to aquatic connection on the internet they have plants on sale right know and it has all kinds of aquatic plants it should make it easy for you to do what you want to do. but I would still ask for advice from them about how to set it up.
