here is a secert, just when you get it done, you will have more to do... it is never done, what would you do if it were done? get bored and add more... that is why you do not have one tank....

right now i know exactly how you feel. 
We just got a 180 acrylic custom made tank, and ive never had a tank with a sump and built in overflow...ill keep a very looong painful story short by say that today my hubby and i learned how to make a durso pipe stand today via mfk
headbang2) the idiots who did the pvc work behind the overflow had it set up so it sounded like Niagara Falls in my basement..
then we had problems with a seal leaking under the tank and not wanting to seal right.. i THINK its fixed.. im going to check it in a few mins..
if its not one thing, it really is another.. when i get frusterated i just think that its all worth it in the end
plus remember that the fish are healthy and happy--thats what matters
