Any one here in to car audio?

I went with soundstream two 12s and some kind of amp they have the spider logo on them.I've had them through about 6 + accidents and 8 + years and just last month the amp went,speakers still going strong.

why you need so much power? you're killing your alternator. im running 2 12s with about 600rms and i see no need to max out unless i want people to hear my car vibrate.(which i hate)
 
Providing you take the right steps and use the right equipment you should not be killing your alternator.

I hate hearing cars vibrate as well.I can never figure out why after so long I start to lose power to other functions to the car after a while.I bought a separate battery hoping it would help but I recently found out the buisness I use to deal with was basically screwing me over.I'm sure i'll find someone else who knows what they're doing.

Yup I hate to say it but making a car go boom is to easy. You want difficult go for sound quality.

I did the boom for a few years and then went sound quality and you can spend more money on sound quality but it wows people more

Sundown, end of story. The new SA-8V.2 I hear are wicked! The SA-8" are rated at 400rms but peeps put 750-1k per 8" sub ported. I hear DD is a great product also... for the price, Sundown can't be beat IMO.
