Here's a couple of pic's of my former Apurensis, the same fish as posted by Jlnugyen74 before I passed it on to him around two years ago. Although he posted it's size at 18-20", that's being conservative as if I recall it was at 20" when I sold it to him. They tend to grow more in girth rather than length once they reach maturity but it's likely to be an inch or two longer by now. Great to see the old girl again, she went to the best home possible, thanks for that John!

Here's a couple of pic's of my mature C. fowleri at 17" for comparison and also a pic (not mine) of why you shouldn't try to keep 2 Apurensis (or most pseudopimelodid's) in the same tank. If I recall the photo were taken during a brief attempt to introduce one apurensis into another's tank as an experiment...

Nice and huge C.fowleri you got there, Yellowcat. I did saw a C.fowleri up close once in my part of the world and it looked nothin as nice coloration as yours( and not to mention the price tag is damn hefty more than a grand SGD) I believed the main difference btw the 2 species is the flatter head profile and the lack of spots at the belly region of C.fowleri compared to C.apurensis. C'mon guys, would love to see more pics and info sharing of Cephalos cats here. :headbang2
