because the mods are haters of water wolves for some reason, idk why, maybe jealous of there add in the august issue of TFH, idk but they are definatly mad about something... maybe compitition? maybe a mod can explain further.

No jealousy.. An underlying history I believe that is all. I won't go into it as I've heard a story but I'm no obliged to repeat it or even guess it's 100% true. There are lots of people here who visit both sites and even mods from there that visit here.. But it is what it is. I think it stems from back in the day. Leave it at that. This site is way better anyways. :)

To answer the original question if you want a step down from MFK to a basic fishkeeping AC is a great site. I've belonged to alot of sites but if you really want a good site that will help some beginner with their 10g AC gets my vote.

LOL I went over to oscarfish.com to see what all the fuss is about and I see what you guys mean.

they are saying that 2 oscars and pleco will "max out" someone's new and probably very expensive 150 gallon set up! LOL

I guess they don't realize that even a 12 inch oscar looks pretty small in a tank that is 150 gallons in size..

What about a 15" oscar that has a serious attitude problem?
