Any other Texas coastal residents here?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I received 1/4" of flood water, my downstairs has porcelain tile so clean up was not bad had power through out this whole nightmare. Fish are great . I did a massive water change before it began to flood just in case I lost power, but had my Generator set up under my awning grounded on standby. I'm blessed.

Thanks it's unbelievably bad around here .
You are welcome....and let me get this straight, all this flood water is coming in from out of the gulf?

No its from the dirty side of the hurricane the east side, & it only moved 3 mph created huge amounts of rain I had 55" in 5 days
I did a little googling on it earlier as I could not understand why all the water would not simply spread out and drain away.It almost seems as if the area is located in a valley or a huge basin but I read that the area is pretty flat and all the concrete and paving coupled with inadequate sewer and drainage are major contributing factors.

Yes it is very low & flat area lots of clay underneath the soil & after It's saturated it stands so all the drainage goes out to the gulf.
