As the title says, I'm looking for pics of snake enclosures planted with live plants. If there are any. I'm thinking about building an enclosure for a snake, and thought I'd like to make it as realistic as possible, if I can.

I dont have a picture of it right now but I just added some venus flytraps to my eyelash viper tank. I am hoping that they will grow some more soon and maybe take over the tank. I have tried adding mosses too but I have not had any luck with that.

What kind of snake? How big an enclosure?

Not really interested per se in the snake/reptile in the enclosure, more interested in seeing pictures of enclosures that use live plants to create a more realistic habitat for their occupants. And any size enclosure will do.

I think Davo meant what kind of snake are you looking into getting.

Oh. In that case, I'm looking at:

Western Hognose
Ball Python
Brazilian Rainbow Boa

Enclosure would probably be a 4x2x2 built out of plywood, with whatever lighting requirements for plants or snake. It would be sealed with either polyurethane or a full waterproofing sealer (like pond coat or something similar) so that moisture wouldn't be a problem. It would have a full front opening with either glass or acrylic window.

But I really just wanted to see if anyone else had pictures of their setups. Just curious to see what worked, and how they accomplished it.

What?? I think the BRB means Brazilian Rainbow Boa, but I have no idea what mhd means...

As long as plywood is sealed correctly it works perfectly fine in high moisture applications.
