Any pics of (live) planted snake enclosures?

mhd= mountain horned dragon?

When planting you not only have to consider if the plants can fit in the environment but also can they withstand getting beaten around by a snake. Also the snakes traits... no point on having lots of little plants on the ground if the snakes just going to trample over them all day if it's a ground dweller. No point in having lots of plants that want a lot of water (high humidity) if your snake is from an arid-semi arid environment etc.

I ask what size cause large enclosures gives you more choices with planting... can have bigger, stronger plants. If you had a brb you could do quite a cool large enclosure that is well planted with larger branches that they can lie on as opposed to hang on.

Heres some pics... some i have links for some I don't/are mine.

the ones with the cuban boas would be quite cool for brbs... maybe with a few more plants. I'll try and get you some more pics at some point.

Thanks! That's exactly the king of thing I was looking for... I really like the first two pics, although the second one looks like you'd never see whatever animal you were keeping in it...

The second one I think is by a frog keeper... hence all the bromeliads etc., but I suppose for the snake he's keeping they're good as they are sturdy plants. To be honest, in there he's keeping a chondro, and as they like to sit out on the perch as it is in the pic, you'd probably see it all the time. I like that enclosure to, he did a good job.

I dunno what you could do for hognoses... maybe get some tall broad leaved grasses and plant them in, but surround them with a few large rocks at the base... stuff like that.

MHD mountain horned dragon i bailed on the project and replanted the plants elsewhere though

For a hognose I'd give these plants a try
-smaller hostas
-grasses

Granite rocks would look good with them too.

Ill hopefully add some pics to this thread eventually. I want a rough green and an eyelash viper in a planted tank. seperate obviously
