I was going to set up a 180g with 4 peacock bass(i think ocelli) and a juruense catfish. I wanted to stay with the SA/CA biotype and i saw pikes as an awesome addition. Any pikes that would work in with this tank?

Yes you could put a pike in that tank you would need to buy a pike that is a good amount bigger then the Pbass because the Pbass will grow faster then the pike

Get a large pike venezuala would be a good choice but if you wan't something a little more colorful try Lenticulta, Cincta, marmorata or johanna. orange pikes are Xingu I usually and would also work

Venezuala females will get around 14'' and males at around 16''-18''

All of the pikes i listed will get over 12'' marms Lents and cincta will get around 16'' can get bigger though johanna and Xingu I will get around 12''-14''

Also look up Vittata i think they would be a good choice for a Pbass tank they might blend in though as they look and will Act alot like Pbass they are big mouthed fsh that are all ways hungry so if you wan't a pike that will stand out i woud get one of the others i listed but of course there are many more large pikes out there then the ones i listed

alright i like the cincta i think im going to get that one can you guys give me all the info on these guys like diet, normal price, etc.

Forgot to mention Cinctas can be aggressive there shuldn't be much of a problem with large cichla

As for diet pikes will usualy many different things and alot of it try Shrimp, Krill, fish fillets, crickets, worms and like every fish pellets are all ways good if you can get the pike to eat them

They will adapt to most water types but like soft acidic water

For price it all depends on size and the location there being sold at theres also color varients the most common is the green cincta which will sell for aorund $30-$60 to give you a rough estimate

Ohhh and if you haven't seen it theres a sticky called identification thread which has alot of great pike pics of most of the pikes i listed
