Any Pleco Fanatics out here?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as you can imagine Hard algea eaters are hard to keep fed, however are usually the last to starve. it's funnie. throw a peice of zuchini in a tank with three diff pleco's in them. one pleco will eat the outside, the other the soft seed guue and the other the meat. they all have different preferences.

I am a plecofanatic! Mainly focusing on Megalancistrus, Panaques, Pseudacanthicus..the bigger the better! :D

I've been trying to sell fish to australia but they are not easy to get ahold of. If you can help us we'd be much abliged.

Check whats going over to Asia..... I'm going to bring some over here too.... don't worry. here's a few more pleco's that came through our facility last week. Sorry about the water marks.

our pleco tanks have less ammonia build up then any of the other fish. I'd say nay.

Just picked up a 6-8" Baryancistrus sp. L-47. I'll probably pick up 3-5 more L-47s over the coming weeks. After that, I don't know just yet. Hopefully, I'll have some pics later.

Do Ottos count?

If so, I have three.

I hope so because thats what I have. :D They are in the same family so I say yes...though I don't think they have an L number.

I am a pleco fanatic but I don't have any plecos (except the otos)....oh wait, I lied...I am gonna be the owner of a 14" Panague nigrolineatus....THANKS MFK!!!! :grinyes:

I have had commons before...who hasen't. I also had a clown panaque but traded him...he was a nasty SOB. I briefly had a bulldog plec but it died two days after I got it.

Otto's are great little fish, I haven't seen a spot of algae since. I want some zebra otto's, i've seen some great pics.

I would really like some zebra plecs but they are very expensive over here now, my LFS has them at £245 not sure how many $'s that is. Ban on exporting them from Brazil.

Inspired by this very thread I am going to pick up a pair of L128's 'Blue phantom plecs' on the weekend for my Amazon setup. Does anyone know of an easy way to sex them?, It would be nice to try and breed them.
