Any pond keepers in Hawaii?

What does a typical pond liner or stock tank cost you over in Hawaii?

I'm dreading the cost differences :(

Depends on how big you want your pond to be. Is it above or below the ground type pond? Building the pond isn't that expensive at all. Filters and UV is the costly part of this venture. You can most likely get everything you need for a above ground pond for less then $100 (pond liner included).

Wow, that's not bad at all.

Pond in mind is roughly 1000 gallons. I'll probably keep locally caught cats and whatnot in there.

I'm getting excited, I've never been to Hawaii :D

Wait in till city mill has a sale on there wood and go from there. Get the wood you need to build your pond for super cheap.

Is that a frequent thing, or once every few years?

Rather frequent. Still wood will not last in Hawaii's humidity. Thus the sales of wood. Well, that's how it is in waipahu, Hawaii kai and in milliani.

When I was in Maui I remember there was a small outdoor market place with a pond that had Mollies or Plattys or something like that in it. Probably a few hundred of them. The pond was about 12ft x 6ft as a rough estimate and I don't know how deep, maybe 3ft. Oh, and of course the hotel I was out (Maui Ocean Club) had an amazing large koi pond on their grounds. I don't know equipment specs or anything on either, just that they both looked nice.
