Certainly don't consider myself a hardcore prepper but I do pack
"bug out bags" I call them survival packs. And they aren't necessarily used to leave with in a sticky situation such as being raided by marauders. I pack them more or less for day hikes and I also pack 72 hour bags for longer camping/hiking trips. I also make little kits out of plastic ammo boxes.I take my approach more as preparing for worst case scenarios weather it be home invasion or being stranded in the wilderness etc rather than preparing for the end of the world or a zombie apocalypse lol. I'm not the type to believe in a financial or economical world catastrophe that's why I am probably not really considered a prepper by the hardcore people I also don't believe in a new world order occurring or something that would cause an apocalyptic Occurance.
I just kinda got into it myself got a cpl bags I need to pack but like you I'd use them for hiking and such also plan on filling up my cargo shell for my van with tent and other items saves on packing time for camping and if need be can be used to get out of dodge we do have food for about a week but my wife is a couponer and we have a deep freezer so we keep it full
I am not sure what you are asking? Am i getting ready for the end of the world, civil war, nuclear event? earth quakes? what? I am prepping to go camping week after next at birch bay on the north western coast for a week, crabbing and clamming. MMMMMMMMMMM
All of the above pops some are hard core preppers ready for the next end of the world others ready to get out of dodge incase of zombies or Ebola outbreak lol
so, between my tanks around 800g, I have water on hand, fish? ohh perhaps 4 days in meals. so think i am goof, err good for 3 weeks water and 4 days protein. after that i will head back to birch bay and go crabbing and clamming some more. after robbing the stores for more beer.
My wife thinks I'm crazy at times but I told her she can sit and hold tight I'll head out to higher ground last year I was trying to talk her into some sort of back up energy for the house and she said I was crazy in the past 5 years we didn't lose power well a week later lost power for a cpl days had to stay at a friends house wasn't bad due to it being summer but had it been winter and longer could have been worse
how do you pack enough squirled(sp) away stuff for a family of 7, me, to last more than 3 days? sorry garage is packed with end of days stuff, hope you all like top romen.
