Im trying to find out my options and i might go the P root

I used to have 3 RBP in a 20g till they got big and i sold them.....

Wait species, how many, setup for a 35g???

(RBP) one adult will do fine( many will say not so this is just my opinion) two juvinile/sub adult and only for about a year or so... personally i would not put any of the larger species (rhoms) in a 35, min of 55 for them.

no, they arent the smallest

Whats the footprint of the tank (length and width)? Depending on that I would recommend a S. Sanchezi, S. Spilo/Mac, S. Irritans (If you can find one). I would definitely not have any pygo in a 35g tank (unless it was to grow out, any eventually move to a larger tank).

S. eigenmanni, S. Irritan, and S. Sanchezi. all the others get to 8"+ so there is no way you should get them for that size tank.
or if you want a piranha like fish get a shoal of about 15 exodon tetra's (thats the better way to go for you i think)

a small Irritan would do good i have mine in a 30 gallon long
