Any recommendations for tall artificial plants?

I don't know why you want artificial if you can have live one but that is just me saying.

I would recommend the jungle val family(normal&spiral).

They can grow extremely long.

I planted mine in a 9 Oz cup filled with sand&dirt and topped of with substrate for the dirt and sand not to come out of cup.

And its doing great.

I agree. It requires very little light to thrive. The negative is, of course, fish that like to tug on plants. Most fish won't eat val but they will still pull it out.

I haven't purchased artificial plants in a long time, but I seem to remember that most of the tall stems are actually several pieces attached to each other. If they are still made this way, perhaps you could buy a few and make one as tall as you want.

You're right some fish will destroy them but its a hardy plant and reproduces very fast in my opinion

You can start with one good adult plant and the "baby's" come popping out in a few weeks or less.

In the tank I have mine there are 2 peacock bass and a pike cichlid.

As for now I will never put a pleco in the tank ass they will ALWAYS eat all your plants.

Good luck

Ps. I like the spiral jungle val more

I got these at hobby lobby in the floral arrangements section for a few dollars.

Just be sure you don't buy plants with lots of paint or other things glued to the leaves. Some of the really tall ones habe wires inside the stems. Some do not.

Most of my fish will eat or destroy any live plants within a day. They even ruin my plastic plants after awhile

I just looked there 3 ft here's the linkhttp://www.petmountain.com/product/aquarium-plants/11442-580447/marineland-marineland-bamboo-aquarium-plant.html

This is the one I use as well. You can do a lot with it. I use it as surface cover. Check out 760's thread his clown knife looks like he loves it as a thick lurking spot.
